    While out on leave for joint replacement, I took advantage of mid-week brunch with a pal. No waiting on this Thursday morning. I love the outdoors backyard seating because sitting in crowded dining is still a no-no for both of us. We both went for the braised collards with pickled pulled pork, poached eggs and cornbread. This is my new obsession. A hint of heat and that potlicker juice was wonderful. Everything worked together and was very filling. Took some home for a light dinner. I came back a month later and had to wait about 40 minutes. That collard dish was worth the wait. Not sure if I would do this on the weekend because I have heard the wait can be up to 2 hours, but a weekday sneak away, absolutely!

    This traditional diner had reviews that made it seem one of a kind, but overall, the food was mediocre. Flavors were good tho! The staff are very kind and welcoming, which is a plus. There are no real complaints about this place; however, I wouldn't recommend making more than a 10-minute trip for a meal here.

    Really great food and staff. Always have a wonderful time eating here. If you're ever looking for breakfast in the area I recommend this spot for sure.
